Power Products Review
In today's age nearly everyone has some sort of electronic or mobile device that needs continuous charging. After all, these nifty little techy devices are of no use when their batteries are dead. Power products are used to power up, or charge, these devices and gadgets. Today's technology brings us, as consumers, a wide range of options to do so. These options may include power cords, adapters, car chargers, batteries, etc.
There are hundreds and hundreds of Websites offering power products, electronics, and mobile accessories. But, I'd like to take a closer look at only one...Callpod, Inc. Callpod, Inc. is a company who focuses on providing quality power products, softwares, and mobile accessories. This review is based on not one, but four Callpod, Inc. products. But, keep in mind they do offer several more products which I will touch base on a little later. These power products are rapidly increasing in popularity as more and more people are now seeking easier, less cluttering ways to charge their portable electronics and mobile devices.
To begin with, I'd like to introduce to you, Chargepod. The Chargepod is a power product (charging device) that enables you to to charge up to 6 PDA's, cell phones, or headsets with one single power cord. This wicked little device does require specific adapters (also available from Callpod, Inc.) that are manufacturer-specific for each device. This 6-way charger uses interchangeable power adapters and has voltage regulator technology so that all your mobile devices are safely charged. With the correct adapters, the Chargepod works on all models, regardless of its manufacturer. Some of these adapters may be included with your purchase. Of course, that depends on the package chosen.
Now, I'd like to look a little more closely at the Chargepod V2. This multi-device charger is also a docking system for Mac/PC laptops and mobile devices. This powerful three-sided device is designed so that operations are performed on all three sides of the device. The Chargepod V2 is a docking system and charger in one. Keep in mind, Callpod, Inc. power products may require adapters that may/may not be included in the package(s) you choose. Necessary adapters not included are also available for purchase at Callpod, Inc.
Next, I take a little time to learn more about Fueltank Uno. The Fueltank Uno is another powerful portable device charger offered from Callpod, Inc. This little device safely and quickly charges an electronic device. With Fueltank Uno you can charge your portable device multiple times without having to use an outlet. It has a lithium ion battery, having more than 7 times the capacity of a regular cell phone. The Fueltank Uno senses how much power is needed to charge your device.
Lastly, I discovered more about the Fueltank Duo. Similar to the Fueltank Uno, Fueltank Duo has double the power and charges two protable electronic devices. As with Fueltank Uno, this little device safely charges these devices multiple times, and it does so quickly. There is no need for use of an outlet as Fueltank Duo also uses a lithium ion battery and detects how much power your devices will need to charge.
Callpod, Inc. offers paying subscribers telephone support as well as support via email and online chat. Their FAQ section is not displayed on their Home page, but it can easily be found by going to their 'Contact Us' page. They offer customers and visitors a chance to ask questions and offer assistance using chat service. As with most online businesses, chat is available only during certain hours. Afterhours, visitors and customers may email their questions and concerns using Callpod's email form on the 'Contact' page.
Most of these power products are pretty simple to use. However, if needed, there are user manuals available. These manuals can be downloaded from the 'Downloads' page. User manuals are only available in English and Spanish languages. (Keeper also offers French language user manual)
You can view demos of these power products prior to purchase on Callpod's site. As promised, the following is a list of a few other products offered at Callpod, Inc. (This is only a few of their other products, there are several other products available on their site that have not been mentioned or reviewed.) Import, export, and backup data. It also has a self destruct mode. Dragon Bluetooth- a wireless Bluetooth headset for mobile phones. It has a range of 328 plus foot (100m), allowing you to talk without actually having to carry your cell phone on you. Works with all mobile phones, computers, and PDA's enabled for Bluetooth. Drone- a USB device that connects to your computer, allowing you to connect your Bluetooth headset or headphones for streaming music and voice. Also has a 328 plus foot range (100m). No software is needed.
All in all, Callpod, Inc. offers several nifty devices used to charge and accessorize their subscribers' portable and electronic devices. They bring modern, high-tech reasonably priced chargers to those who wish to take full advantage of today's elecronics, mobile devices, and gadgets. |
